SAFETY
Bi-Con’s Safety Policy is to maintain
a safe and healthy environment for all employees, subcontractors
and guests on our construction sites by:
- Complying with all federal, state and
local safety requirements;
- Using sound judgment, common sense and safe
practices;
- Protecting the public from the hazards associated
with our activities.
Compliance with the safety policy is a condition
of employment and a condition of our subcontractors.
A safe environment on any construction site or
manufacturing facility is the result of the efforts by everyone
from the laborer to the president. Each person is held accountable
for their safety and the safety of their co-workers.
Safety training plays a major role in safety
at Bi-Con. A 30-hour OSHA training course is given to all
Superintendents, Foreman, Competent Persons, and Site Safety
Representatives. All other employees receive a 10-hour OSHA
training course. Refresher training is also conducted annually
for all employees.
Bi-Con has over 200 OSHA trained employees that
play a major role in safety
Bi-Con has received several awards in safety
over the years. The most recent include:
- Associated Builders and Contractors
Step Platinum Safety Award since 1999.
- OSHA CLAS Partnership (ABC/OSHA/BI-CON) since
2000.
- Guernsey / Noble County Safety Council Award
winner and member since 1995.
